be a councillor workshop

Keep an eye out for information about the forthcoming 'Be a councillor' workshop in January 2009. The exact day is yet to be set, but if you want to receive an email as soon as the date is confirmed please email emma.stewart@londoncouncils.gov.uk putting 'workshop enquiry' in the subject line.

be a councillor session at the London Councils' Summit

We plan to run a session at the annual London Councils' Summit for people who have been shortlisted as candidates for political parties, or who plan to stand as an independent candidate. The Summit takes place next year on Saturday 7 November 2009. The session for candidates is likely to focus on canvassing techniques, campaign funding etc.. If you're actively involved with a local party by then, or are seriously considering standing as an independent then the session will be of interest. If you are interested in being contacted about this event nearer the time, please register your interest by emailing emma.stewart@londoncouncils.gov.uk (020 7934 9754).
